Your privacy.
This site keeps as little about you as it can. Here is all of it.

In short
- 01Visits are counted, with cookies only if you allow them, and nothing is used for advertising.
- 025 small settings, kept only in your browser.
- 03A message you send is used only to reply to you.
01What the site collects
No advertising trackers, and no cookies unless you allow them. Everything the site loads comes from this site, with two exceptions: Google Analytics (below) and Google reCAPTCHA, which loads only when you send a message.
To see which pages are read, the site counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, run by the company that hosts it. For each page you open it records the address, the page you came from, your approximate location (country and city), and your browser, operating system and kind of device. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device: a visit is told apart from the next by a code worked out from your request, which is discarded after 24 hours, so you can’t be followed from one day or one site to another. I see only the totals.
The site also uses Google Analytics to see how people move through it: the pages and chapters you reach, the entries and projects you open, the links you follow (contact links, project websites, credentials and clients), whether you download my CV, and whether a message was sent (its topic only, never what you wrote or your address). Google also receives your browser, device, approximate location and the page you came from.
It asks before setting any cookies. If you allow them, it sets two, listed below, that tell your visits apart for up to two years. If you don’t, or until you choose, it still counts pages and events, but without cookies or anything else stored on your device, so your visits can’t be linked to each other. Its advertising features are off either way. You can change your choice at any time on the cookie policy or in the story’s settings.
02Kept in your browser
A few small settings, stored on your device and never sent anywhere, and Google Analytics’ cookies if you allow them. You can remove any of them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

03The contact form
When you send a message, your name, email address, topic and message go to this site’s server, which emails them to me through Resend, an email delivery service. I use them only to reply to you, and the site keeps no copy. You’ll also get a short thank-you at the address you gave, confirming the message arrived; it greets you by your first name and repeats nothing you wrote.
Before the message goes, Google reCAPTCHA checks that it comes from a person, not a bot. Its script loads only when you press send, never before; Google may set its own cookies and receives details about your browser for that check. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
To slow down spam, the server briefly remembers how many messages came from your network address in the last few minutes, and then forgets it.
